7 Free Sewing patterns You should know about in 2026

We get it. Sewing patterns can be an added expense when you are learning to sew, and sometimes you just want to save some money! Well, you’re in luck, because today we are sharing seven of our favorite FREE sewing patterns from our talented group of Confident Patternmaking graduates.

2. The Lounger Pants from Elle Stitch

  • Beginner friendly

  • Size-Inclusive

  • Waist: 23”- 46”, Hips: 34”- 57”

The Lounger Pants are an elevated take on basic elastic waist lounge pants. They have a breezy wide leg fit and feature a hidden waistband. The pants have an optional drawstring at the waist, top stitched side pockets, bias bound back pockets and a deep hem.


 

3. Wrap me up hood from Charlotte Rach patterns

The Wrap-Me-Up comes in 3 styles and 2 tie lengths which you can mix and match to your wishes. With 2 finishing techniques to choose from, this sewing pattern comes together quickly, is an excellent in-between projects sew and a real skill-builder at the same time

Skills learned:
